Technical Care Guide
Bel0 3L Nylon outerwear is built for the harshest alpine environments. To maintain its waterproof integrity and high-performance breathability, specific maintenance is required. Follow these steps to protect your investment.
Preparation
Secure all zippers, including the 2-way center front zip and underarm vents. Fasten all hook-and-loop (Velcro) closures on cuffs and pockets. This prevents internal abrasion and protects the 3L Nylon face fabric.
Technical Wash
Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle. Use a specialized technical liquid detergent (e.g., Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers).
The Double Rinse
Run a second rinse cycle if possible. Removing 100% of soap residue is vital, as leftover surfactants attract water and stop moisture from beading on the surface.
Line Dry (Phase 1)
Remove the garment from the wash and hang to air dry completely. This protects the waterproof membrane and fully taped seams from being stressed by heat while saturated.
DWR Reactivation (Phase 2)
Once bone-dry, place the garment in the dryer on a low-heat setting for 20 minutes. This "bakes" the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating back into an active position, ensuring water beads and rolls off.
Pro Maintenance Tip
If water stops beading even after a fresh wash and heat reactivation, your DWR has reached its lifespan. We recommend applying a spray-on DWR treatment (like Nikwax) to restore factory-level performance.
